Why I Became a Veterinarian
Dr. S. Mallick grew up in a family deeply rooted in medicine, with relatives working across children's and adult care, surgery, and emergency medicine. That background, combined with a lifelong love of animals, drew him to veterinary medicine as a way to unite his passion for healing with his devotion to animals. Early in his career as a teacher he spent time around animals of every kind, and the more time he spent with them, the more certain he became that caring for them was his calling.
With more than 40 years of veterinary experience spanning both emergency hospitals and general practice, Dr. S. Mallick has dedicated his career to compassionate care for pets and the families who love them. He is equally passionate about mentoring the next generation of veterinarians — including his son and partner, Dr. H. Mallick — and together they proudly care for the pets of their community.

Why I Became a Veterinarian
Dr. H. Mallick grew up surrounded by animals and developed a deep love and respect for them from a very young age. Coming from a family that cared deeply for its pets, he spent much of his childhood around the dogs, cats, and other animals at his father's veterinary clinic, where he learned to treat every animal with kindness and compassion. As he explored different paths in college, he realized that veterinary medicine was the perfect way to combine his desire to help others with his lifelong love of animals.
Today, Dr. H. Mallick works alongside his father, Dr. S. Mallick, continuing a legacy of trusted veterinary care built over more than 40 years. As he takes on a greater role in the family practice, he is committed to pairing the wisdom passed down from his father with the modern technology and techniques gained through his own education and training — all in service of a seamless, compassionate, and low-stress experience for both pets and their owners.
